Jet2 and Jet2holidays crowned UK’s best for short-haul flights and sunshine | Travel News | Travel
Jet2 has been named as British holidaymakers’ favourite short-haul airline, as well as the best for economy travel. Meanwhile, its sister firm Jet2holidays scooped up a selection of awards for its holiday offering, from luxury breaks to family-friendly getaways. The Leeds-based travel providers took home an impressive 11 gold awards at the 2023 British Travel Awards, with votes commending them on their website, European holiday offering and its array of sunshine hotspots throughout the year.
The awards were determined by a record 1.56 million public votes, giving customers the chance to award firms who helped to make their 2023 leisure travel experiences. As part of the awards, Jet2 took home the gold for best economy class travel, best short-haul flights and best website for flight bookings. And its purse-friendly prices were recognised, with Jet2 coming in second place for the best airline for low cost. It was easyJet who scored gold in this category.

Package holiday provider Jet2holidays went on to take the gold awards for best large travel company for summer sun and winter sun holidays, best large travel company for family holidays, best large travel company for luxury holidays, and the best large travel company for holidays in east and southeast Europe, Iberia and Macaronesia, Italy and the Western Mediterranean Islands and Hellenic Europe.
Furthermore, the holiday provider only just missed out on the award for best large travel company for all-inclusive holidays, which was taken home by TUI.

The news comes in the midst of an extended sale by Jet2 and Jet2holidays to mark the Black Friday weekend. While many travel firms ended their sale on Cyber Monday, there’s still time for travel-hungry Britons to book a discounted holiday or flight with Jet2 and Jet2holidays.
