SeaWorld
Orlando is set to debut its newest attraction, Expedition
Odyssey, on May 1, 2025. This innovative experience blends advanced ride
technology, stunning real-life imagery and up-close interactions with Arctic
animals to create what the park calls its most immersive Arctic adventure to
date.

Blending dynamic
motion, cutting-edge visuals and authentic animal interactions, Expedition
Odyssey goes far beyond a typical theme park ride—it’s an immersive adventure
that seamlessly fuses simulation with reality. Guests will embark on a
thrilling expedition across massive glaciers, sweeping icy tundra and beneath
the frigid surface of the Arctic Ocean, coming face-to-face with some of the
world’s most remarkable wildlife along the way.

Expedition Odyssey
features a state-of-the-art ride system with an unparalleled range of motion
that delivers smooth, lifelike movements through every turn, swoop and dive.
Enhancing the realism, the attraction incorporates exclusive real-life footage
filmed in remote Arctic regions, immersing guests in vivid encounters with such
iconic species as polar bears, orcas, beluga whales, seals, walruses and more.

Created to
captivate explorers of every age, Expedition Odyssey upholds SeaWorld Orlando’s
legacy of family-friendly excitement with a minimum height requirement of just
39 inches. This means both children and adults can share in the Arctic
adventure together. And, because the attraction is entirely indoors, it offers
a thrilling, climate-controlled escape no matter the weather, any time of year.

But the excitement
doesn’t end with the ride. Upon disembarking, visitors enter a living Arctic
habitat where they can observe real marine animals, including walruses, seals
and beluga whales. One of the stars of this area is Uki, a young Pacific walrus
calf rescued in Alaska. After being deemed non-releasable by the Alaska SeaLife
Center, Uki arrived at SeaWorld Orlando last September, where she has been
under the dedicated care of the park’s animal specialists. She now resides in
the new Arctic exhibit, helping to inspire empathy and awareness for wildlife
conservation.

Guests eager for a
more intimate encounter with Arctic wildlife can take advantage of SeaWorld’s
behind-the-scenes experiences, such as the Beluga Whales Up-Close Tour. This
exclusive opportunity allows visitors to stand poolside with these remarkable
marine mammals and gain insight into their intelligence, unique behaviors and
the conservation efforts dedicated to their protection.

“We are
pleased to announce the opening date of Expedition Odyssey, an adventure unlike
anything our guests have experienced before, combining thrilling, immersive
storytelling with powerful, real-world animal connections. The newest addition
to our park is unlike anything we have ever done before and brings to life the
wonder of the Artic in a way only SeaWorld can do,” said Jon Peterson, Park
President of SeaWorld Orlando.

To celebrate the attraction’s opening, SeaWorld
is offering a special promotion as part of its Spring Spectacular Sale:
purchase an Annual Pass and receive a complimentary upgrade to the next tier.
Pass Members will also enjoy early access to Expedition Odyssey, as well as
benefits like unlimited park visits, free parking, and discounts on food,
merchandise and special events.
